DJ Cuppy Announces Break From Social Media
Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, has announced that she is taking a break from social media to focus on her spiritual life and personal well-being.
In a message shared with her followers on X on Monday, the billionaire heiress explained that the decision comes from a desire for “quiet time” and a spiritual reconnection.
Cuppy, who has been increasingly vocal about her faith journey in recent years, described the hiatus as a necessary “reset.”
She wrote, “Never done this before, but I’m taking a short break from social media.
“I need some quiet time with myself and time being hidden with God. I’m okay and just taking a moment to reset and reconnect. I’ll be back.”
Earlier in her New Year message on January 1, Cuppy described the past year as a hard one, expressing her decision to trust God.
“It has been a hard year, and these last days have been the toughest, but I am choosing to trust that God still has a plan.
“As we step into 2026, tell people how much they mean to you. Say it while you can. Wishing you a hopeful New Year, my Cupcakes,” she wrote.
Her recent announcement follows a series of life updates from the entertainer, including her recent baptism and public commitment to her Christian faith.
In August 2024, Cuppy rededicated her life to God, marking a significant spiritual transformation through a baptism ceremony.
In September 2025, she also described marriage as the most powerful partnership in life.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign… with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
