#EndSARS protest: Over #700m Lost To Looting In Osun
Hoodlums and some residents of “The State of the Virtues” refused to live up to the appellation when they threw caution to the wind and engaged in wanton loot of COVID-19 palliative stored in warehouses across the state as part of #EndSARS protest.

In the melee that led to the imposition of another round of 24-hours indefinite curfew by the State government, over #700m has gone down the drain.
While government and individuals cannot yet count accurately their loses, a rough estimate revealed unprecedented monetary loss by the victims.
Speaking on the looted CACOVID Relief items at Ede,  Alhaji Bayo Jimoh who is the Secretary, Osun Food and Relief Committee disclosed the loot of the following items donated by the Private Sector Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID): Pasta FMN – 29,992; Pasta OLAM -10,3282; Noodles- 80,644 in catoons, Garri -40,322; Salt- 40,320; and Sugar – 40,227 bagged in 5kg each.
Also looted are:  Dangote warehouse in Osogbo that contained higher capacity of CACOVID relief materials, Tuns farm warehouse in Osogbo, Leventist Foundation farm warehouse in Ilesa, Oriolowo farms warehouse in Iwo, OSADEP office, Aisu, Ede, Osogbo  mall.
Government establishments and offices looted include Federal government Agriculture Silo, Ilesa, Osun government secretariat, Iwo, Olorunda, Ifelodun, Ede North and South Secretariats,
Others include empowerment warehouses of Hon. Lasun Yusuff, Campaign office of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Hon Rasheed Olalekan Afolabi constituency secretariat, Hon Mulikat Abiola Office and several private warehouses and stores and shops in Osogbo.
