EPL: Arsenal Face Brentford, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea In Action
After a nearly three-month hiatus, the 2021/22 English Premier League will kick off on Friday with Arsenal taking on newcomer Brentford in the opening fixture.
With new signings Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will hope get off to a flying start against underdog Brentford, who are making their first EPL appearance in their 131 years of existence.
On Saturday, Manchester United will host Leeds United at Old Trafford. After a decent 2020/21 season, in which they finished second on the EPL table, the Red Devils will be looking to win their 14th EPL title, relying on new signings Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, and hoping that their hero of last season, Bruno Fernandes, keeps firing on all cylinders.
European champions, Chelsea, will play at Stamford Bridge, taking on Crystal Palace. The Blues have secured the return of Belgian stiker Romelu Lukaku and will be relying on him to win them the title this season.
Liverpool will play away from home against Norwich, at Carrow Road Stadium.
