Nigeria On Pathway To Economic Prosperity – FG
The Federal Government has given assurance that Nigeria is on its pathway to economic prosperity through diligent and effective implementation of policies for sustainable growth and development.
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu who gave the assurance at the end of the 22nd Joint Planning Board (JPB) and National Economic Council on Development Planning (NCDP) in Osogbo yesterday noted that the submit was designed to provide opportunities for top government officials to brainstorm on economic policies that would further ignite economic prosperity.
He posited that the passion to restore Nigeria on the pathway of sustainable economic growth and development informed the theme of the 22nd edition of the JPB/NCDP summit.
Bagudu appealed to states governors and local governments representatives and the entire citizens to support the federal government in fashioning and repositioning the country on the path of economic growth and development.
Earlier, the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke said the gathering shows a reflection of diverse collective dedication to finding solution to the economic challenges facing the country.
The governor said the event was timely as the country was planning to navigate through the evolving economic landscape.
He said that Osun would continue to play its path towards ensuring economic prosperity through robust economic policies that would deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
A communique issued at the event urged all 36 states and the FCT to individually examine its own local peculiarities and fashioned sustainable pathway through effective policies.
Also, national and sub-national governments were encouraged to invest heavily in human capital development in order to create high skilled manpower needed for rapid growth and development among others.
