Fulham Hold Man United To 1-1 Draw

Manchester United were again left frustrated on Sunday after being held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham in their Premier League clash at Craven Cottage.

Bruno Fernandes wasted a chance to open the lead in the 38th minute, firing a penalty over the bar.

United took the lead in the 58th minute when Leny Yoro’s header from a corner deflected off Rodrigo Muniz and crossed the line for an own goal.

Fulham, who had been on the back foot for most of the first half, fought back strongly in the second period.

Their pressure paid off in the 73rd minute when substitute Emile Rowe finished off a pass from Alex Iwobi to level the game.

The hosts created more openings afterwards but could not find a winner, while United struggled to regain control.

The result leaves both teams still searching for consistency as the new season begins, with Erik ten Hag’s side yet to record their first campaign victory.
