Vice-Chancellor Of Nigeria Maritime University
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has once again made headlines as one of its esteemed scholars, Prof. Flora Tobolayefa Oluwafemi, has been appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
A distinguished academic and immediate past Head of the Department of Microbiology, College of Biosciences (COLBIOS) at FUNAAB, Prof. Oluwafemi is renowned for her scholarly contributions and administrative acumen. Prior to her recent appointment, she served as the Pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at NMU, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the academic structure and laying a solid foundation for excellence at the institution.
Prof. Flora, an alumna of the prestigious Galilee International Management Institute in Israel, is also the Founding Vice-President of the Nigerian Mycotoxin Study Group, reflecting her deep engagement in research and scientific advancement, particularly in food safety and public health.
Hailing from Oporoza in the Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA of Delta State, Prof. Oluwafemi’s appointment is a source of pride not only to her immediate community but also to the entire FUNAAB family.
