‘APC, Only Party That Can Guarantee Democratic Dividends To Nigerians’
The All Progressives Congress APC has been identified as the only political party that can give dividends of democracy to Nigerians and any attempt to vote any other party into power will amount to regression for the country.
The Senatorial candidate of the party for the Osun West Senatorial district, Engr. Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo made the remark Thurssday in Osogbo while featuring on Osun NUJ Correspondents’ chapel personality programme, ‘News Point.
He insisted that for Nigeria to move forward, Nigerians should retain the party to lead at the Federal level to consolidate on achievements made in the last four years that surpasses the long-year tenure of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in saddle of governance.
Oriolowo who was a gubernatorial aspirant in the recently conducted governorship election in Osun noted that the votes got by the Action Democratic Party ADP in Iwo Federal Constituency was sensationally motivated because Osun West electorate believed that it was their turn to produce governor.
He noted that such a situation does not arise in the coming election adding that the people are not only better informed now but committed to enthronement of credible party in government.
The Senatorial candidate lamented the politics of opposition which he claimed to be slowing down progress of Nigeria adding that what ought to play out is check and balances and not unilateral opposition to every policy even when it is known that it will benefit the nation.
He therefore called on Nigerians to vote all candidates contesting various elective positions in the country on the platform of APC describing the party as the only party that could give the dividend of democracy
“I want you all to know that voting for other parties will not only amount to a waste of vote but to retrogression. An opposition is an opposition even if you propose a scholarship for his child he would turn it down because of his position as an opposition. We have our destinies in our hands and we have to say no to any opposition.
“ APC is ruling fine in the state and at the center to consolidate and further the dividend of democracy I am imploring the people to vote for all including the president. This will help us tremendously to run a smooth government and the execution of all activities and projects at all levels
The retired civil servant noted that the country as well as his state would benefit tremediously from his participation in politics as he was bring another dimension that would be to the people and the politics in the country.
He lampooned legislators that gives consumables as part of their constituency project, saying if elected he would focus on investment that can create wealth, provide employment and engagement as well create revenue to the state to his people especially to the youth.
