Health Workers Suspend Strike
The Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU. And Assembly of Healthcare Professionals on Saturday suspended its nine-day-old Nationwide strike.
The suspension followed a nine-hour meeting between its leadership and representatives of the federal government in Abuja.
National Chairman of the union, Biobelemove Josiah, who made this known to newsmen, said a National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the union will be held on Tuesday to take the final decision.
He, however, stated that the union has reached an agreement with the federal government, directing health workers to resume work on Wednesday.
