Late 3SC star, Izu, gets burial date

Slain Shooting Stars of Ibadan defender, Joseph Izu, will be laid to rest on December 3.
The Oluyole Warriors star died last month from a stray bullet during a gun duel between operatives of the Joint Task Force and militants while on holiday in his home town in Rivers State following the completion of the 2015/ 2016 NPFL season.
Shooting Stars Twitter handle, @official3SC, confirmed the burial date via a tweet on Monday.
The tweet said: “The remains of Izu Joseph will be laid to rest on 3rd December, 2016.”
The late defender played a huge role in 3SC’s survival bid last season, when he scored the winning goal in the game against Wikki Tourists at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
