Messy Affair: ‘I Regret Sleeping With You’- Married Man Tells ‘Feminist’
An alleged affair between a gym instructor, Dennis Emmanuel, and a social media feminist, Folakemi Martins, has turned into a messy public dispute, with the two dragging each other online over allegations surrounding their failed relationship.
The controversy started when Emmanuel, who claimed to be married, accused Martins, in a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), of harassment, stalking and attempts to damage his reputation and marriage.
Emmanuel, who admitted to having a sexual relationship with Martins, also accused her of refusing to let go after he decided to end their affair.
According to him, his relationship with Martins began on May 9, 2026, after he told her that he was married and was looking for a “side chic.”
Emmanuel, who shared several screenshots of alleged conversations between him and Martins, claimed that she knew about his marriage and agreed to the arrangement.
He said the trouble began when Martins allegedly became persistent, demanding and disrespectful, accusing her of stalking him and his wife, and wanting something more than their casual sexual relationship.
In one of the screenshots posted by Emmanuel, Martins reportedly said, “Why is it that you went off when I was asking for your hand in marriage?”
The screenshots also showed that Martins allegedly made repeated demands for sex, with some of the exchanges showing her asking when they would meet again.
“My estrogen is going crazy that I’m pulsating. It is ovulation day. Are we ‘doing’ if we meet tomorrow? I’m so horny, I can’t sleep.
“Asides that, when can I get one for the road, please? I’m talking of a genital meet and greet. And I’m not coming over, maybe e go be for my side or hotel, anyhow you wan do am,” Martins reportedly said in some of the chats.
In another chat, Martins also allegedly asked Emmanuel to send her pictures of his private part.
Martins, in some of the chats, accused Emmanuel of neglecting her and complained about his lack of affection towards her.
She reportedly wrote, “You have made it clear severally that you want nothing to do with me, but I’m the one that refused to listen, hoping for the best.
“I have to beg for intimacy, beg to get video call, beg for clarity, beg to meet you, beg for ordinary goodnight and affection.”
However, Emmanuel said he broke off the affair and told Martins that they would not be seeing each other again because of what he described as her “aggressive” and “condescending” behaviour.
But the decision, he alleged, did not end the matter, disclosing that Martins continued contacting him.
He alleged that Martins, together with her friends, kept stalking him and his wife on social media.
“Fola (Martins) is at my place now with stranger men banging my doors heavily. I don’t know who they are and I won’t open the door!” Emmanuel wrote.
He said he was forced to bring the issue on X, saying, “What happened over the past few weeks has gone beyond a personal disagreement. It is now affecting my reputation, my home, my wife and my family and I believe I need to put my side of the story on record.”
But, reacting, Martins faulted Emmanuel’s account, saying she never agreed to be his “side chick” and was not aware that he was married when their relationship began.
Martins said she was currently gathering evidence and pursuing the matter through legal channels, adding that she would provide further details when permitted by the court.
“I’m currently working on enough proof and doing everything legally. I know everyone has been trying to get my side, but little proof has been out on X.
“I never agreed to be a side chick and was never aware of any marriage,” she said.
However, Martins declined to speak further on the controversy surrounding her relationship with Emmanuel, saying, “Any other information on my side of the whole story will be given once the court allows.”
Meanwhile, many users on X have reacted to the controversy, with several blaming Emmanuel for engaging in an extra-marital affair and questioning his decision to make the dispute public.
A user, @AtuanyaKene, wrote: “Unfortunately, I have no sympathy for cheaters like you and you deserve everything you’re seeing now because if it didn’t happen, you’d be waving your kini around and disgracing your wife and family in secret without telling us about it. The only sympathy I have is for the person you betrayed. I hope you keep jamming crazy people like her the next time you decide to cheat.”
Another user, Adeleke Bolanle, said, “The moment you had sex with her, you’ve given her the licence to attack your wife and interfere with your family. You’ve made a big mistake and I hope you learn from it.”
@Omoluabi_AB wrote: “Bros, na jeje she sit down, na you go meet her. Some people dey cheat and leave, and it will end like that; it doesn’t mean it will always be like that for everyone. Your own no be like am so deal with am yourself, married man ffs testing rizz.”
Another user, @Orev_a, questioned Emmanuel’s decision to cheat despite being married, writing, “I still genuinely don’t understand some of you men. Even if you’ve decided to cheat, how do you look at your precious wife and still choose to embarrass her with a Twitter girl?”
The user added that Emmanuel’s actions could expose his wife to further embarrassment and hurt, arguing that “a man who can do this clearly hasn’t learned anything.”
