NDE Provides Transient Job For 36 Graduates In Osun
The National Directorate of  Employment (NDE) Osun state, has offered transient job for 36 graduates of tertiary institution to help coach students and graduates of secondary schools with deficiencies in their grades in JAMB, WAEC, NECO, GCE and NABTEB examinations,
Speaking at the flag off and orientation ceremony for the Graduate Coaching Scheme (GCS) in Osogbo, the Director General, NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo disclosed that the concept of the scheme was to tackle the menace of graduates unemployment, provide free remedial classes for secondary school graduates and assist them to make up for such grades that will qualify them for admission into tertiary institutions.
Fikpo who was represented at the event by the state Coordinator, Mr Fakunke Julius stated that the 36 beneficiaries would be distributed in the threshold of 12 instructors for each of the  three senatorial districts within the state for the duration of three months.
According to him, the scheme organised by the Special Public Work department will not only provide transient job for the unemployed graduates but also add to their pool of skills and expose them to better opportunities and  inturn reduce social vices at the long run, if applied on a stable gear.
In her goodwill message, the national Director SPW dept, Mrs Roseline Olaomi who was represented by the Hod, SPW NDE Osun, Mr Adewale Adefioye, urged the beneficiaries to bear in mind that they are saddled with the responsibility to prepare  these set of students for both internal and external examination.
While appreciating the federal government for funding the programme, Olaomi added that the accomplishment of such task demands a quality service and total commitment for positive result to be achieved, which will give them a better opportunity to be absolved into the workers fold.
