Nigerians Like Having Sex, Says Olori Coitus

Yeside Olayinka-Agbola, popularly known as Olori Coitus, the self-styled Queen of Intimacy and Reproductive Health, opened up about Nigerians’ private sexual behavior during a recent appearance on The OffAir Show hosted by Gbemi and Toolz.

According to Olori Coitus, while Nigerians appear conservative in public when it comes to sex—often worrying about “what people will think”—their private lives tell a different story. “We are the most populous black nation in the world… and Nigerians are freaky people,” she said. “Looking at my DMs and what people say, it’s clear: we like sex, we like having sex.”

She highlighted the prominence of kayamata, Nigeria’s underground sex industry, and noted that porn is among the most searched terms online in the country. “People would say they want to try something, but are concerned about being judged—especially women,” she added.

On the role of intimacy in sexual health, Olori Coitus emphasized communication. “Communication is lubrication. It’s actually what’s going to get you in the mood,” she explained, highlighting the importance of openness in sexual relationships
