”EKSG Committed To Producing World Class Professional Nurses”
The Ekiti state government has reiterated its commitment to quality healthcare service delivery to the residents of the state.
The Commissioner for Health and Human Services Dr. Oyebanji Filani stated this when he received Students’ Union leaders of School of Nursing, Ado-Ekiti, who came on courtesy visit.
Dr Filani encouraged the students to continue working hard towards skill and career advancement. He said:
“You need to constantly engage yourself by expanding your knowledge beyond what is taught in the classroom, through the use of internet resources. These additional skills will enable you to compete favourably in the global market.”
He assured the students of the government’s commitment to their welfare as well as the development of the school of nursing.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Health and Human services Mr Akinjide Akinleye noted that nursing professionals are very key to attaining quality healthcare service delivery.
Mr Akinleye assured the school of continuous better working relationships with the Ministry.
During his remarks, the Students’ Union President, Mr David Omoboye commended the Commissioner for his love and support to the school in the past.
He appealed to the government to absorb some of the graduates of the school to the Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti as a way to boost their morale and curb un-employment.
