Ondo Assembly Okays 18 Commissioner- Nominees
The Ondo State House Of Assembly Tuesday confirmed 18 commissioner-nominees, fifteen days after their names was forwarded to the House by the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu .
Speaking at plenary, the Speaker, Rt.Hon. David Oleyelogun, who was also the Chairman of the Screening Committee said the nominees were confirmed after “a thorough scrutiny.”
While submitting the report of the committee, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Iroju Ogundeji, Deputy Speaker of the House, said that the nominees had been found qualified to be commissioners in the state.
His words: “I hereby present the recommendation of this committee to the house for your adoption”.
The names of the eighteen nominees that were confirmed by the Assembly yesterday are Mr.Femi Agagu – Okitipupa; Hon.Gboyega Adefarati – Akoko South West; Rt.Hon.Taofeek Abdusalam – Akoko North East; Mr.Yemi Olowolabi – Idanre; Hon.Wale Akinterinwa – Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo; Dr. Wahab Adegbenro – Ifedore.
Others include, Hon.Solagbade Amodeni – Akoko South East; Hon. Rasheed Badmus – Akoko North West; Hon.Omowumi Olatunji – Akure South; Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan – Irele; Mr. Funso Esan -Ilaje; Mr.Olurimisi Ismaila – Odigbo; Hon.Saka Yusuf Ogunleye – Akure North; Mr. Ojogo Donald – Ese-Odo; Prof. Bayonle Ademodi – Ondo East; Mrs. Lola Fagbemi – Ondo West; Hon. Timilehin Adelegbe – Ose and Mr.Kole Olawoye – Owo.
The 18 commissioners designates are expected to be given their various portfolios after they must have been sworn in by Governor Akeredolu at a date to be announced.
