Bundesliga Trio Chase Topscorer Onuachu
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has attracted interest from multiple Bundesliga clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen, and TSG Hoffenheim all reported to be tracking the Trabzonspor forward.
The 31-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 21 goals and providing two assists in just 24 league appearances — a return that has placed him among the most effective forwards in the Turkish Süper Lig and firmly in contention for the division’s top scorer award.
His performances have caught the attention of Bundesliga scouts for weeks, with Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim believed to be most actively interested, viewing him as a leading striker capable of carrying the goal-scoring burden as a regular starter.
Leverkusen’s interest is reported to be more measured, with the German champions considering him as part of a broader attacking group rather than a headline signing.
Onuachu, who joined Trabzonspor from Southampton last summer, has made an immediate impact in Turkey. His combination of aerial presence, sharp finishing inside the box, and consistent delivery across the season — rather than in isolated bursts — has been cited as a key reason for the German interest, as Bundesliga clubs value that kind of reliability highly.
There is also reported interest from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli, but attention from Germany is understood to be the most serious at this stage.
Trabzonspor, however, are expected to resist any approaches, viewing the Nigeria international as central to their attack after a season of considerable goals. Onuachu, who endured a difficult stint in England, may nonetheless be open to a new challenge in the Bundesliga.
