Opposition’s Yoon Suk-yeol Elected South Korean President

Opposition conservative Yoon Suk-yeol has been elected as South Korean president.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s ruling party candidate Lee Jae-myung has conceded the presidential election, he said early Thursday, paving the way for opposition conservative Yoon Suk-yeol to become president.

“I did my best, but I did not live up to expectations,” Lee told supporters at the Democratic Party office. “It’s neither your defeat nor the Democratic Party. All responsibility lies solely with me.”
