Osun Correctional Service Gets New Controller
Controller of Corrections, (CC) Tolu Ogunsakin has resumed duty as the Controller in charge of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Osun State Command, following the deployment of Assistant Controller General of Corrections, Olanrewaju Amoran to the National Headquarters.
Recall that Amoran was recent promoted and deployed to head Education Unit under the Directorate of Training and Staff Development at the National Headquarters.
A release made available to newsmen in Osogbo by the Command Public Relations Officer, (CPRO) DSC Olusola Adeotan stated that the new Controller was deployed from Ekiti East Local Government area of the state to Osun.
He is a graduate of History from the University of Lagos (Unilag) and he also holds an M.SC in International Relations from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
According to him, Ogunsakin enlisted into the then Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) as an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (ASP) in 1991.
“He has served in many states of the federation which transversed the six geopolitical zones.
“He served as head of Custodial facilities such as, Ijebu Ode Custodial Centre in Ogun State, the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Ikoyi, Lagos and Medium Security Custodial Centre, Olokuta Akure in Ondo State.
“The Controller of Corrections is the fourteenth (14th) substantive Controller of Corrections in Osun State Command, he noted.
