Osun 2018: Osinbajo, Oshiomhole Presents APC Flag To Oyetola
Ahead of Osun 2018 governorship election, Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Thursday officially presented the All Progressives Congress APC flag to Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as the candidate of the party in the September 22 election.
The duo who led five governors and a governor-elect to the mega-rally held at Osogbo sports stadium told the mammoth crowd that Mr. Gboyega Oyetola remains the best candidate among all other contestants for the governorship candidate.
The governors of the party, who all urged electorate in the state to ensure APC retain Osun, include, Governors Abdullah Ganduje of Kano state, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Isiaka Ajimobi of Oyo and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo
Also in attendance was the Governor-elect of Ekiti, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who charged the electorate in Osun to elect APC to ensure continuity and progress.
The APC national leader, Senator Bola Tinubu, former Interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, ex governors Segun Osoba and Adeniyi Adebayo, all attended the rally.
Presenting the party’s flag to Oyetola, Prof. Osinbajo described his emergence as the will of God and called for total support to ensure victory for APC in the poll.
Addressing the gathering, chairman, APC national campaign committee, Governor Ganduje, said for the love of President Mohammadu Buhari, electorate in Osun should vote for APC candidate.
He said his committee met all governorship aspirants of the party and settled all controversies raised by the direct primary election adopted by the party to pick its governorship candidate.
He expressed optimism that APC would win come September 22 and also stretch it’s winning streak to 2019 general elections.
Asiwaju Tinubu described those who left the party as a result of the outcome of the governorship primary as impatient adding that their exit cannot affect the fortune of the party.
