Osun NDE Empowers 48 Youths And Women With Facilities
In line with the new hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, the National Directorate of Employment, Osun directorate has empowered 48 youths and women with facilities as a starter pack for establishment of job and wealth creation for the unemployed in the state.
The beneficiaries had earlier been up-skilled through Agricultural training to boost food security, eradicate of poverty through income earning as means of livelihood.
Speaking at the just concluded Orientation and disbursement programme organised by Rural Employment Promotion department of Osun NDE in Osogbo, the Director General, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, who emphasised the need to align with President Tinubu vision expressed his commitment to give renewed hope to the unemployed by empowering them sufficiently for self reliance and sustainability.
Fikpo who was represented by Osun State NDE coordinator, Mr. Fakunle Julius however emphasised the need for the participants to key into the vision of combating mass unemployment by embracing the opportunity created for them to be employed and inturn boost the nation’s economy.
He noted that ever sincerely this policy was launched, Mallam Fikpo has expressed his willingness to take the responsibility to the next level of success by empowering the unemployed persons through Training and Empowerment coupled with equal opportunities for all Nigerians which has been yielding fruitful dividend.
Also speaking, Dr. Sylvester Ekemnoye who represented the REP department HOD, in his goodwill message enjoined the beneficiaries to make the best use of the opportunity provided by the programme bearing in mind that the facility provided is repayable as at when due.
He urged them to count themselves fortunate to be selected among millions of people seeking for such opportunities adding that when they judiciously use the opportunity, it will further impact on families, communities and the nation at large.
