PDP Faction To Hold National Convention March 28, 29

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party has fixed March 28 and 29, 2026, for its national convention, which will be held in Abuja, as the party moves to elect a new National Working Committee and other statutory organs.

This was disclosed in a communique issued at the end of the 105th meeting of the National Executive Committee of the PDP held on Monday in Abuja.

The communique was jointly signed by the National Chairman of the National Caretaker Working Committee, Abdulrahman Muhammed, and the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

“NEC further approved and confirmed March 28 and 29, 2026, as the date for the PDP National Convention, to be held at Abuja for the purpose of electing members of the National Working Committee and other statutory organs of the Party,” the communiqué read partly.
