Policewoman, 2 Others Found Dead In Osun Apartment
Tragedy struck in Osogbo on Thursday when a woman police officer and two others were discovered dead in their rented apartment located at Oloosaoko compound,  Oja-Oba area of Osogbo, Osun State.
Our correspondent gathered that the police woman identified as Mary Samuel and two other victims were discovered dead at about 7:00 am by her neighbours who tried to inquire the cause of persistent crying of the baby of one of the victims of the tragic death.
A neighbour who spoke on condition of anonymity said when she heard a baby crying persistently in the apartment, she knocked at the door without response.
Her words: “When I heard the persistency in the crying of the baby in the flat, in an attempt to call the attention to the need to attend to the baby, I knocked persistently at the door,  when it appeared as if nobody was in the  house,  I had to look into the room through the window and saw a woman who appeared to be in deep sleep on the floor.
“I then raised alarm, and we tried to open the door but when it will not open, we forced it open and found Auntie Mary half naked with a torchlight in her hands sitting lifeless on a chair.
“We quickly alerted the police and when they came out of the five occupants of the house,  three including Auntie Mary were dead while her sister who appeared to still have life in her was rushed to the hospital.
“The baby however appear to be hale and hearty and one of us backed him while the evacuation was ongoing.
It was gathered that the state commissioner of police Mr Fimihan Adeoye was at the scene of the incident earlier in the day.
The remains of the victims have been deposited at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, LAUTECH Osogbo.
As of the time of filing this report  nobody could ascertain the cause of the tragic incident .
Mrs Samuel was said to be deeply involved in a ceremony involving her entire family at their hometown last weekend.
