Tinubu Mourns Ponle, Founder Of MICCOM Engineering
President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the passing of Chief Michael Abiodun Ponle, a prominent businessman, industrialist and philanthropist.
A renowned engineer, Chief Ponle, died at the age of 86. He was the Chairman of the popular Miccom Wires and Cable Company and proprietor of Miccom Golf and Resort in Ada, Osun State.
President Tinubu describes the late Ponle as a visionary and an accomplished professional who made significant contributions to the engineering industry and Nigeria’s economic development.
The President notes that Chief Ponle distinguished himself through dedication, innovation and integrity by building MicCom Engineering Nigeria Limited into a reputable indigenous industrial and engineering firm.
“Engineer Ponle provided employment opportunities to many young people. He contributed meaningfully to national development as he also helped to uplift his immediate community,” President Tinubu remarks.
The President particularly highlights the late Ponle’s indelible footprint in the tourism industry, including the establishment of the MicCom Golf and Resort in his hometown, Ada, Osun State, and his investment in the state’s educational sector.
President Tinubu extends his heartfelt condolences to the Ponle family, the management and staff of MicCom Engineering, and the friends and professional associates of the deceased.
He prays for comfort and strength for the family and a peaceful repose of the soul of the late elder statesman.
