Armed robbers on Tuesday morning invaded three communities in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The robbers were said to have carted away money, phones, pieces of jewellery and other items.

The affected communities include Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo on the new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.

Reporters who visited the communities gathered that the incident happened around 3 a.m.

One of the community leaders, Raji Kazeem, who confirmed the incident and said, “Yes, it was true. The armed robbers came in the middle of the night and robbed some houses. That’s why you saw landlords and landladies discussing in different groups.”
