Senate Observes One-minute Silence For Late Dora Akunyili’s Widower Chike
The Senate on Wednesday observed one-minute silence for Dr. Chike Akunyili, the widower of the late former Minister of Information, Dora Akunyili.
The medical was reportedly gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen on Monday evening in Anambra State.
This was sequel to a point of order by the Senator representing Anambra Central, Uche Ekwunife, who drew the attention of her colleagues to the incident.
The deceased was reportedly killed on his way from where he had gone to receive an award in honour of his late wife.
Meanwhile, the Police in Anambra State had yet to respond to the reported killing as of the time of filing this report.
Also, IPOB has denied behind the gruesome murder of the medical doctor.
