Students Protest Death Of Colleagues In Oyo
Students of Federal College of Education (FCE), Oyo, have protested the death of their colleagues which they blamed on poor medical facility on campus.The students of the institution, who went on rampage, destroying valuable property on sight in the institution said that the death of their colleagues was due to the “poor medical facility” on campus.
It was gathered that two of their colleagues had died within a space of one week. One of the students was said to have died on Monday.
It could not be confirmed whether they died in the institution’s health facility as at the time of filing this report.
Sources said that property worth several millions of naira were vandalised in the process.
The institution’s health centre, students’ affairs office, vehicles and bakery were said to have been vandalised by the protesting students.
It’s yet to be known whether or not there were casualties.
