Transfers: Arsenal’s Kiwior Nears Porto Move

Arsenal have finalised a transfer agreement with FC Porto for Polish defender Jakub Kiwior, who will join the Portuguese club on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on Friday, the 25-year-old, seeking consistent first-team action, is set to move for a €2m loan fee, with a €17m mandatory purchase clause.

The contract has additional bonuses and a sell-on clause that could elevate the total fee to between €25m and €27m, with some reports suggesting it may reach €30m if all conditions are met.

Kiwior has reportedly agreed to personal terms and is keen on the move to secure regular first-team football under Porto’s coach Francesco Farioli.

He is expected to travel to Portugal within the next 24 hours for a medical and to finalise the transfer, pending document approval.

The move is tied to Arsenal’s pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie as a replacement, with negotiations ongoing to secure the Ecuadorian defender.
