Truck Crushes Motorcyclist To Death In Osun
A motorcyclist, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, was on Friday crushed to death in a road accident that occurred in Gbongan, Osun State.
Two other people involved in the accident were not injured.
Spokesperson of Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi, while commenting, said the accident occurred around 4.40pm.
“The accident occurred along Gbongan-Ile-Ife Road. It was caused by wrongful overtaking. It involved an Iveco Eurostar Truck and a Jincheng Motorcycle.
“The motorcycle wrongly overtook the truck. One person, a male, was killed but two other people involved were not injured.
“The family of the deceased took over the remains of the victim while the vehicle involved was taken over by NPF Gbongan,” Ogungbemi concluded.
