Ebonyi Govt Gives Ministry 48- hours To Restore Public Water Supply In Abakaliki

Ebonyi State Government has given 48-hour ultimatum to Ebonyi Ministry of Water Resources to restore public water supply within Abakaliki.
EbonyiExecutive Council Meeting held Monday.
He noted that the Ebonyi Government was not happy over the epileptic water supply from the public water source and has vowed to tackle all problems affecting against regular and effective public water supply to parts of the state.
He said :”That the need for effective water supply from the public water schemes was among the issues discussed and that Exco directed that within 48 hours that the ministry of Water Resources must ensure that all problems militating against water supply in the capital city would be fixed.
“You do know that we have gigantic water schemes at Oferekpe in Ikwo local government area, Ukawu in in Onicha LGA and the Ezilo regional water scheme is being renovated and we have one in Ivo ongoing and in Uburu. .
“Water is very critical and it is one of those essential social amenities that government thinks must be provided for the people of Ebonyi and all efforts are being made to ensure that water is being provided especially to those in the capital city,” he said.
Orji further stated that state government was working hard to ensure the regular water supply in Abakaliki and other parts of the state would be restore back soon.
