The last time he was sighted partying was at Betty Irabo’s themed disco party.
At the bash, Akeem, who dressed in his trademark long kaftan and trousers, kept mostly to himself, except for the few times he exchanged pleasantries with recognized friends present.
There were recent reports of his troubled flagship investment, Etisalat, now 9mobile, over a multi-million dollar loan.

Last weekend, Akeem was spotted at a high profile party in Lagos. Unlike his usual shy mien, Akeem was fully animated, as he was caught digging it on the dance floor with a friend, Mrs. Maryam Uwais, wife of former Chief justice of Nigeria, Mohammadu Uwais and president Mohammadu Buhari’s special adviser for social protection plan.
