Wole Oke’s Supporters Ambushed, Assaulted, By Hoodlums In Osun
Representatives of Hausa Communities in Obokun and Oriade local governments who are supporters and loyalists of Hon Busayo Oluwole Oke, the lawmaker representing Ijesa North Federal Constituency were on Friday morning  attacked by  hoodlums at his Osogbo residence.
Hon Oke in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Osogbo stated that the harmless people were ambushed and mercilessly attacked by  people suspected to be members of the opposition party.
According to Oke, his supporters who were predominantly of Hausa extraction living in Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency were beaten to pulp by the hoodlums.
He said that the unsuspecting visitors left his Osogbo GRA residence at Oke-Fia and ran into the political thugs in their tens menacingly wielding matchets, knives and other dangerous weapons.
The statement further stated  that his guests numbering about 15 were seriously wounded as they sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to undisclosed private hospital where they were receiving treatment.
“One of the hoodlums who was apprehended disclosed that they were sponsored by a an Osogbo based political Chief.
“The matter has been reported at the State Police Command, Osogbo. from Obokun Local Government to declare their loyalty to  him in his House located at the GRA area of Osogbo were said to have been attacked, machetted and beaten with clubs and other dangerous weapons around 9:00am .
The Lawmaker condemned the attack, describing it as barbaric and primitive, admonishing that such unprovoked and unwanted attack was capable of snowballing into ethnic class.
He posited that Nigerians should feel free and safe wherever they live or go, advising that Osun State should not be turned to seed bed of violence by uncivilize politician.
He urged the police to use their good offices to unmask the masterminds of the dastard attack.
