2024 Guber: Ondo People Embrace YPP, As Party Opens Campaign Office, Inaugurates Coordinators
It was a carnival -liked event on Thursday in Akure, the Ondo State Capital as the people of the state in large number gave a rousing cheers to leaders and members of the Young Progressives Party YPP , during the official opening of the party secretariat and inauguration of it’s coordinators across the eighteen local government area of the state.
The event which also gave more accolade and acceptance to the party.
While addressing journalists on the state of the party , the chairman of the party in the state, Dotun Ojourn said the party is ready to take hardship away from the people of the state if voted into power come November 16,2024.
”The time has come for the youths in the state ,to take over the mantle of leadership through their votes and willingness in the coming election”
Also the Director of the campaign organization, Hon Ayodeji Oluleye said time has come for the youths to overthrow and occupy the government house. In his response on the questions posed to him by Germane Reporters, he said enough is enough of the treatment being dishes out by the so -call leaders.
” the so call leaders take away the right of the youths and compensate them with political appointments which shouldn’t be” no work, security in shamble , Inflation everywhere, he said
its time to take what belongs to them and not the peanuts they get thereafter” Oluleye said
Meanwhile, the governorship candidate of the party, Hon John Otitoloju Akinmurele emphasized that, the ruling party APC and the main Opposition PDP ,have failed in their responsibilities to alleviate the sufferings of the masses thereby, they should be voted out of power since they have nothing to offer.
” it is a known fact that, APC has suffered the people of the state beyond repair same applicable to the PDP, which till today, nobody could trace how and why we are where we are today as a people” he said
