Rice...

Post by Falconboy »

How do you guys cook your rice? I've been looking at rice cookers but you only cook white rice in those right? I have long grain brown rice that is Lundberg brand that I cook in a saucepan. Just looking for ideas.

I don't usually make brown rice so can't speak to how it would work in a rice cooker. Aside from that I use my rice cooker for both long and short grain white rice and it works perfectly every time. I just put the rice and the water in, push the button and ignore until dinner time. Let's me concentrate on the rest of the meal. It's one of my favorite kitchen tools for just that reason. It's not exciting but it really simplifies my day when I'm cooking Chinese.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.
