I'm on the east side of Cleveland where we are getting hammered with lake effect snow. During times like these, i tend to reflect upon warmer times.
With apologies to my lovely bride and my boss, I remembered MAC Beach during the warmer times of April.
I lived in Prout Hall room 130 for two years. My window peered between two sorority houses (Animals Dogs and Pigs before they got shut down and I forget the other house - not Chi-O) and out onto MAC Beach.
My one roomie had a telescope. Oh, what a fine setup!

I'm a little disappointed in you Mark. I really thought this post would contain the lyrics from the song "Informer" by the artist "Snow" off his album, "12 " of Snow."Rightupinthere wrote:I'm on the east side of Cleveland where we are getting hammered with lake effect snow. I'm not familiar. Perhaps you could sing a couple of bars.ZiggyZoomba wrote: I'm a little disappointed in you Mark. I really thought this post would contain the lyrics from the song "Informer" by the artist "Snow" off his album, "12 " of Snow."
I do know one song which is pretty close to this topic. We used to seranade the sisters during 2am fire drill in Prout:
Chi-O!
Chi-O!
It's off to bed we go!
We paid our buck and
We want our ****
Chi-O!
Chi-O, Chi-O, Chi-O
Repeat until they call the campus cops.

I think I as in room 114. We use to call that house all the time because we could see them answer the phone. What year did you live there?Rightupinthere wrote:I'm on the east side of Cleveland where we are getting hammered with lake effect snow. During times like these, i tend to reflect upon warmer times.

Well when I lived there it was no longer an honors fraternity as it was the last semester it was open. I transferred to BG in 99 and that is where they stuck all the transfers since it closed in the middle of the year. Because of that it made it awesome living there. Nobody cared what you did to your room, tons of people had singles including myself, and it had a great location. The Alice Prout restuarant is still my all time favorite place to eat. I think I lived about where the stairs of the bookstore now reside.JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:The other house you are referring to is the KD sorority house. you lived in Prout???
If so the most likely use for the telescope was probably required for your 400 Level Astronomy class, and you chose Prout due to its proximity to the Math Science stadium seating!
