Hi,

We are looking at CivicCRM as a potential MRM (Membership Relationship Management), we presently use Progress and would potentially like to make the move.
We are an Association and have 26,000 members (5,000 live members). we also need to be able to pull information from the crm into our website of our members area on the website.
Is there anyone out there that is similar to us and has made the move to CivicCRM.

We have the following modules:
Membership
Area Groups
Events and meetings
Finance
Renewals, Reminders, Confirmations and Receipts
Advertisers
Schools
CPD Approvals
CPD (Membership)
Insurance information
Training
Search for member
Reports and Queries
Contact (History, letters, emails etc)
Security
IT Configuration
Members Area
Client Records
Sales
Reflexions (magazine subscription).

The problem with that list is that we don't really know what is involved in the modules you described - for example I have no idea what 'Schools' might mean to you. We certainly have customers that use CiviCRM for magazine subscriptions, events, membership, renewals reminders & receipts, searching,  reporting, contact management but I'm less clear what you mean for the other items.

For example client records could mean case management, it could mean attaching pdfs to contact records, it could mean allowing permissioned access. I would suggest your next step should be to expand you list with a few bullet points explaining what you expect from each item. Try to avoid describing them in your existing systems language. Aim for plain English.
