I was just wondering if it was dangerous to use HTTP for your cron job (or press "Execute Now" from "Scheduled Jobs") because of PHP's timeout. By default it's 30 seconds. Is it possible that by using HTTP for cron and/or using "Execute Now" you'll run into timeout issues?

I haven't seen timeouts. The cron puts mail in the server queue, which doesn't trigger a timeout generally.

More important is Mailer Settings "Mailer Batch Limit" at 250 or so.
