Police Nab Man, 45, For Allegedly Defiling 11- year Girl In Ogun

A 45-year old man, Musibau Asinde has been arrested by the Operatives of Ogun state police command for having unlawful carnal knowledge of an eleven year old girl( name withheld) in Ibese area of Ilaro.

 The police in a statement made available to Newsmen on Sunday by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO),’Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP)’Abimbola Oyeyemi said the 45 year old suspect was arrested following a complaint from the mother of the victim one Idowu Riskat, who reported that she sent her daughter on errand at about 7:30 pm on June 5 ,2018 ,only for the girl who return from the errand very late to complain that she was lured by the suspect with sum of N100 note into his apartment where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

He said that, ” on  receiving the report, the DPO Ilaro division, CSP Opebiyi Sunday led his men to the resident of the suspect where he was promptly arrested.’’

 Oyeyemi added that when interrogated, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime but blame it all on the devil.

 He added that, the victim has been taken to Ilaro general hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the suspect be transferred to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for proper investigation and prosecution.

He however advised parents to desist from sending their children out in the night especially the female ones in order to save them from this types of harm.
