Soludo Promises To Probe Onitsha Market Fire Incident
The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has said the Tuesday fire incident that occurred at the Onitsha Main Market would be investigated with a view to preventing future occurrences.
Soludo, while commiserating with the traders, expressed sadness over the early morning fire that razed a two-story building within the market and also destroyed some shops leading to the loss of multi-million naira worth of goods.
The governor gave the assurance in a statement by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Wednesday.
The statement read, “Soludo has commiserated with traders at the Onitsha Main Market over the fire incident that razed down their shops.
“Soludo further assured that government will investigate the incident with a view to preventing future occurrences’
