Kwakwanso In Osun For Oyelami

The leader and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso on Thursday presented the party’s flag to the governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Oyelami Saliu amidst thunderous ovation.

Addressing members and supporters who thronged the GMT, Osogbo venue of the event, Kwakwanso charged the people of Osun not to sell their vote but ensure that they vote out the ruling All Progressives Party and make sure that Peoples Democratic Party does not have its way because they have nothing to offer Nigerians.

Kwakwanso who remarked that event turned around positively for NNPP the moment he joined the party because of his integrity charged the people of Osun on the need to collect their Permanent Voters Card which he described as weapon they can use to enthrone their preferred candidate.

He assured Osun people of dividend of democracy if their candidate, Dr Oyelami Saliu is voted into power come July 16 adding that the candidate has what it takes to lead Osun effectively successfully.

Earlier, the state chairman of the party, Dr. Oluwatosin Odeyemi while welcoming Kwakwanso and his entourage noted that NNPP is firmly rooted in Osun with memberships spread all over the thirty local governments of the state.

He charged leaders of the party across the state to work assiduously to ensure victory for the party in the forthcoming governorship election.

Also speaking, the party’s governorship flagbearer, Dr. Oyelami Saliu, a medical doctor said his desire to rescue Osun from obvious misrule by successive governments informed his decision to contest.

He noted that the coast is clear for victory for the party but urged members to consolidate on already covered ground for a resounding victory.
