10 African Countries Qualify For 2026 U-17 World Cup

 

Confederation of African Football has confirmed 10 countries representing Africa at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, Qatar 2026.

Uganda secured the 10th and final ticket after beating Ghana 8-7 on penalties in the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 play-off on Saturday.

The match ended 2-2 after normal time at CMVI-T11, with Uganda holding their nerve in the shootout.

The victory saw Uganda join Mozambique as the two teams that progressed via the play-off route.

They join a list dominated by North and West Africa, as confirmed by CAF on Sunday.

Africa’s qualified teams for the FIFA U-17 World Cup

  10. Uganda

Nigeria will not feature at the tournament.

The Golden Eaglets did not qualify for the CAF U-17 AFCON, which serves as qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, fixed for November  19 to December 13, 2026
